Okay I think I have gone to the end of the internet looking for a front winch bumper for my 88 Supertduty. Does anyone know if another year will fit?
Thanks,
Unless there is something special about the 88' Superduty truck, any 87 thru 91 bumper should fit. There was a body style change going into 87 and then again starting with the 92, but anything in between should be the same I always thought. Could be wrong.
go to galleries, key up 1990, and look for DOVFD Brush truck. you will see a `90 F450 with a late model bumper on it. Only had to drill 4 holes (2 on each side) to get it mounted. it looked ok to us, then look at the after pictures.
Cool thanks for the input. Only question is 1. Is that a late model stock bumper? 2. Where did you find the lift? 3. What company did you use for the 4x4?
yes, the bumber is a stock ford bumper off a mid 90's truck. just drilled some new holes and moved the mounting brackets out to match my frame rail spacing.
then we extended to bumper 12" with a piece of 8"x5/16 channell. that made room for the sidewinder and a future winch. covered the whole thing with diamond plate aluminum.
the 4x4 conversion (and lift) was done at a Dallas area shop before we got the truck. I don't know their name. the lift (4") was done to make room for the new front axle. we did have it lowered 1" after we got the truck.
www.lmctruck.com has every part made for ford trucks and fair prices to. i have ordered mant times and never any problems and not cheap look a like parts either.
