Just bought my 7th set today (different trucks). Holy cow, the prices! Don't get me wrong, I more than get my money's worth but? Nobody will discount even for cash as it used to be? Tire guys trying to steer you away from them? What's going on? Worth the money to me just for the mileage as I put on some miles every year. Took off 4 with 67K that coulda done 80K cept for winter coming. What's with BFG, price fixed, fair trade prices or what? Before KO's it was easy to shop around. Place I go beats any internet or local shop But WOW! trimman
Best price I ever found, consistently, Costco. They are expensive, but I know for me it's because the tire size keeps getting bigger. When I was buying 30x9.5x15 they were cheap, then it was 33", now 35"...
Just put a set put on my '05 King Ranch today. Got 37K out of the Continentals and they were down to the wear indicator. Paid $1174.89 total from a store that does a lot of business with my store. I have a wholesale account with the warehouse where the tires came from but it's worth the extra price to have good service.
The place I go said they are not allowed to lower the prices for BFG's that they had to sell them for X and so I switchd to Coopers. I like them just as good.

Are the ones at Costco any good? What did the 33" and 35" run ya if you don't mind me asking?
The ones at Costco are the same as anywhere else. Actually, I bought 30x9.5, 31x10.5 and 33x10.5. I'm now "eyeing" the 35s (metric equivalent). I couldn't tell you what they cost me though. I just bought 30x9.5 and cant remember at all what they cost, I think 5 or 6 hundred something.
I do know though someone was talking about the BFG Krawler and how much they cost and when I told them what they cost at Costco the person called me a liar and ended up calling for themselves because the price was so low.
This isn't to say your local Costco is going to beat everywhere else. I only know my local Costco is the lowest and it's another place to get a quote for those looking for new BFG or Michellin tires.
I looked around local shops and the best price I found for BFG A/T KOs was $900 out the door on my stock rims. I found Nitto Terra Grapplers online for $440 plus $100 shipping. It will cost about another $90 for mounting($10/ea) and balancing($12/ea, life of tire balancing). Still the best deal I found for a set of 285/75R16E(33") tires.

wow thats great.. got 30,000 out of mine (they where gone at 25,000 but i ran them another 5000 just o try to get something out of them). i hope the new REVO's will do better...
TNT, I ordered them this past weekend and expect they will be in some time this week. I had looked at the Toyo Open Country MT's but was definitely worried they'd be singing all the time. Some of the other folks here had decent things to say about the Terra Grapplers, that noise wasn'tthat bad....
Guess I'll find out soon enough. I plan on going to Sears for the mount/balance. For $12 a wheel you get "life of the tire" balancing. They have to take them off to balance them, so rotation is also "free" because the wheels can go back on any corner. What is the best rotation pattern for these kind of tires? I've seen back to front/front to same side back and back to front/front to opposite side back....
I'm going to try to stay on top of things like inflation pressure(minimum monthly check) and balance/rotate intervals(5K miles, like oil changes), and hope to get 50K or more from this set of tires.
i payed 110 bucks plus 75 shipping and 50 bucks for mounting and balancing for my 315/75/17's off an h2. they had over 65% tread left....235 bucks total
285/65 R18's for $1300 taxes, mount, bal, road hazard from Big O. I called around in October and they were the only ones that had them, that weren't on backorder. They originally wanted $315/tire before all the extras, and I talked them down to $290, said I could get them somewhere else for that, didn't tell them it would take two weeks. I saw that Sams had them, but didn't see a price for that size. Levi
I put this on another thread, but I'll ask it here too. I have an 06 F350 SRW Crew w/ stock 18s on it. What is the biggest tire that will go on the 18? And I also am contemplating putting 20s's on it and saw one with 325/60/20 on it that looked nice, but didn't get a long enough look to see if it had a lift. I'd rather not get a lift and wondered what the largest size for a 20 would fit w/o lifting it. Thanks!
