Turbo noise
A friend of mine was telling me that while he was driving he could hear his turbo making a low pitch siren or howl when he was getting into or backing off acceleration. He pulled the intake apart and checked for bearing play side to side and everything looked good. Also the fins had not made contact with the housing at all. Any idea if the noise he's hearing is anything out of the ordinary?

It's the normal sound, which is kind of a "deeper" tone to the spooling right as the turbo begins to spool up and accelerate the wheel to where it whistles louder, and also when the turbo spools down it makes the same noise.

Don't Know if I would call it a siren sound but I do get a nice steady whistle from the compressor side Intake). Now with a 5" exhaust the Turbine (Exhaust drive) sounds like a jet ready for takeoff
