Bearings?

I wanted to see if anyone can help me out? I have a 2002 Ford Explr XLT. Recently I have been hearing a strange noise from the left front tire (Drivers side) I took it to a family friends service place and he said 1. I needed new tires.. I bought new tires... He said he believes the noise is the bearings. I called my brother in law that works at Ford and he said my warranty covers this.. Does anyone know if it will cover all of it?

If it's covered, the whole job should be covered, far as I know...
