No parking lights
I recently removed a dead aftermarket remote starter-with no immediate problems afterwards.
AND had to crimp a new end on the positive battery cable at the starter along with replacing the relay-was not sure which caused the truck not to start. But it was running good for a day!
The problem could be anywhere, but you can use some reasoning and deductions to possibly look at certain areas.
I would first look at were the wiring was modified. If the remote starter had a function were it blinked the parking lights when you hit a key fob, that means it was tied into this circuit. Also look and make sure wherever the wiring was modified, that it is tied back up out of danger like the factory installed it.
Another place to look is along the frame rail to the rear bumper. The wiring is prone to road damage and especially around the rear bumper where trailer wiring is added.
I had this same problem (I'm sure you already know which fuse it is) until I removed all aftermarket wiring (for nerf bar lights, trailer lights, etc).
The extra wiring had been installed professionally, with solderless connectors, but maybe the way it had been routed caused some wear on the jacket, etc. I never really located the problem but it must have been somewhere in this add-on wiring.
That's the first thing to rule out, then keep tracing the factory harnesses...most likely you've got a hot wire rubbing chassis ground when it's jarred (RR tracks, etc)...be patient & good luck.
