brake drum swap?
I have an old car hualer with 14.5 tires and the old style drums and rims(lug nuts hold rims on with pinch washer on id of the rims) i would like to convert to new style drums and rims . does anybody have info on this . or do i have to replace axles

I looked into this also. My trailer is homemade with mobile home axles, like yours.Looking at both axles with elec brakes, springs, and rims ( hoped to get 5 on 5 1/2 pattern) the cost would be $6-800. Paid $850 for the trailer, so I'll make do for awhile. Also check into travel trailer axles, and springs, aim for at least 3400# axles. They were plentiful until I started looking.
