Door panel removal

This morning I had a unplanned meeting with a tractor trailer and busted my mirror (drivers side) up pretty good. I have a replacement, and I know where the bolts are to replace it, but getting the door panel off seems to be a problem. My '03 F150 just had some plastic clips in there and the panel just popped right off. Well on my new truck I took two bolts out at the very bottom of the panel and when I pry it out and looked up in there I can see what looks like a plastic clip. But prying out on the panel looks like the clip is about to break...I was afraid to pry anymore, you could actually see where the plastic clip was changing colors (you know the lighter color that happens right before it breaks) Truck is a '06 F150 XLT...........HELP!

Assuming you have power windows...here it goes...
  1. Pry off the speaker cover
  2. Remove the speaker
  3. on door handle there is a small access plate...remove and remove the screws
  4. same on the power window module
  5. 2 screws on the bottom of the door
  6. I believe there are also 2 underneath the armrest
  7. grab the door and lift up and out..the clips you see are not clips but alligning brackets used for setting and holding the door panel inplace so you can screw it on.
Have fun!

Ok, your little "Have fun" comment...I know where it was coming from. Actually gettting the panel off was the easy part...getting all of those alignment clips back in their holes along with the door lock coming out of its hole was the interesting part....and doing it in the dark with a flashlight was even more fun! After my Dad and I said a lot of four letter words we finally got it back on. But why when I put the window down does the hood open??...hehe Seriously though, thanks a lot, thats all I needed!
