remote door locks
I purchaced and 06 SD XLT that didn't come with a remote door lock fob. Does anyone know if the truck comes with the electronics and all you need is to buy and program a remote? Any help would be appreciated

On an XLT the "Advanced Security Group", which includes remote keyless entry, automatic locks/lights, and a driver's side keypad, is an option. If the truck didn't have that option installed at the factory, then you'll need more than just the remotes. Since your truck doesn't have any security other than doorlocks anyway, and most aftermarket security systems can easily interface with the factory power doorlocks, it might be a good idea to look into one of those. Ford has their own brand, and DEI and CompuStar also have good systems.
