I'm a newbie to the older (60's) Ford trucks. I am going to be doing a disk brake conversion on a 63 F100 2WD and have yet to find the answers to a few questions that I have.
1. Will the mid 70's rotors fit onto the original 63 spindles without any adapter "bushing".
2. Will the mid 70's spindles directly replace the 63 spindles and have the correct alignment as the originals? (so I can use all of the Ford parts instead of having to cross-breed to GM calipers)...OR
3. Does anyone have a template or CAD drawing for the caliper brackets for the GM calipers.
I've done searches and haven't come up with the answers for these. Sorry if I missed them and it's been asked before.
Honestly, I would contact SSBC (stainless steel brakes company) and talk to them about it. I am sure they have a bolt on package. I would also consider doing the mustang front end, better handling and slightly newer design.
