351w balancing

hi, i have a 1986 f-250 with a 351w in it, i recently purchased a 1975 351w that i want to put in my truck. I have heard different things about the newer and older motors with the way ford balanced them. Can anyone tell me if the flywheels and harmonic balancers are all the same or different?

I think you are thinking of the 302. I do not think the 351W had balancing changes in it during its production run.

thanks i have heard both but i thought they were balanced the same but i had problems with a 302 before and didnt want to make the same mistake again. if anyone else knows differently please let me know
