if you have connected the wires back up right and you have no spark, then yes the ign is bad. when replacing it make sure you take the old one with you or look at the bottom where the wires go in and see what color the plasic is around them wires. you need to get the same color when you replace it.
why did you re do the green wire in the first place? i know it goes to the ign and back into the cab for a tac.

I had another post and there was a message saying check the green coil wire, the truck was jolting and dying, and i replace everything the coil, ignition module, distrubitor. So someone told me check the green wire of the coil because he was having same problem. So i checked the wiring and it was bad it had bunch of nicks and cuts in it, so thats why i replace the wiring, let me ask you that brown rubbery thing that has wires out of each side of it can i bypass it? i dont know whats its called it. do you know what im describing? i replaced 3 wires the green igintion module wire, the green coil wire, green wire that is coming out of that rubbery thing. they all was all cut up, bad, melted, it about all i can think of thank you

where is this brown rubbery thing located?

do you have a pic to show us ?

It's best to not fool with re-wiring ignition system wiring.

I assume you just replaced the cut-up green scabby wire with another piece of un-cut wire ?

i think i might have told you to check the green wire. yes you can change out the connecters. that would be what you are calling "that brown rubbery thing that has wires out of each side". if so you can use butt connecters or another type of connecter that will allow you to pull them a part if you need to change. but you dont have to you can just run one long wire. make sure you have a good clean connection on your coil. when i had the problem with the truck cutting of then starting i had a lose wire that jumped off the coil for a sec. hope this helps some. let us know how its comes along
