Turn Signal issues

Quick question as a new member. I have a 02 explorer sport that as of yesterday has a turn signal issue. The signals flash normal when the tilt wheel is in the up position. They don't flash at all when the tilt is in the mid area and super fast when fully down. Anyone ever experience this? Thanks.

Sounds like something in the wiring for the multifunction switch. I'd remove the switch and make sure all the pins are seated fully in the connector. It's also possible a stressed wire going down the column (with an intermittant connection when it's bent a certain way). Just make sure you take a very close look at the wiring if you don't find any loose pins (terminals).

Good luck.
