engine code help
91 ford f-250 4x4 5.8 351 windsor with 134000 miles.
i ran a diagnostic and came up with code 44: thermactor air system fault.
any help on what that is?
shes runnin a bit ruff at start up and from 0-20. other than that runs great. thanks

Service Code 44 = indicates that Thermactor air system is inoperative.
Possible causes:
Vacuum hoses leaking, blocked or kinked.
Diverter valve, thermactor pump inoperative.
Air Management Solenoid(s) defective, blocked.
Verify proper vacuum line routing in the Thermactor air system, including vacuum reservoir. Refer to VECI decal.
Check for kinked or blocked vacuum lines.
Check for kinked or blocked air hoses.
Check for disconnected or cracked vacuum lines.
