93 bronco 5.8
can anyone tell me if the heads on these motors are notorious for cracking? Number seven cylinder plug is oil fouled and wont fire. All other plugs are good. Producing alot of smoke when rpms are increased. Any suggestions?

I've never had a cracked head on all the fords I've owned. Sounds like you have worn or broken oil rings or possibly valve guide seals.
If it were mine I'd put a fresh plug in it to see if it will fire on all 8 cylinders & go from there.

ok thanks guys, I have never seen a cracked head on a ford either, but I did solve my problem. The missing ended up being in number 8 cylinder. just a bad spark plug. If you want to know the whole story on this read my other thread "gunked up and smokin" Thanks for your help.
