Ford Dealer reporting for duty... X Plan started as a pricing deal for senior managers of selected suppliers to Ford. It is now available to all employees of most suppliers as well as "Friends and Neighbours" of Ford employees. Depending on the employee they get a certain amount of "PIN" numbers to give out, 5 a year I think. The price is set by Ford at 4% over lowest dealer cost and is printed direwctly on the invoice. Ford rebates the dealer a further 2%.
One note, dealers are strictly forbidden from offering incentives or discounts (even floor mats) and customers how ask a dealer to provide incentives can have their X Plan revoked by Ford. A dealer has the right to refuse X Plan or insist on an order but that rarely happens. A bird in the hand...
