Hey guys I got my truck the other day. It's a f250 05 with 17k miles diesel. Fabtech lifted 6in on 35in tires 20in rims. It has a banks exhaust and a magna intake system. If these are bad mods please just tell me not flame me.
Ok now to my problem. So I got the paperwork on what was found with my truck upon trade in. Egr sensor problem. They cleaned it thinking that would do the trick. It did it again before I left. They had it looked at and replaced the egr valve. Then it did it again. This time they replaced something else called a ebr valve sensor, I think. The after another 40+ miles it did it again with the cel. I don't have a code reader but I can guess that it has the same problem. I have the warranty so all my parts and labor are covered. Yet that does not solve my problem or same me from this darn ford mechanic and the gas to get there.
ok my experience so you understand where I am coming from. I have modified early vw golfs. I now have a subaru wrx fully modded with most bolt on parts including larger turbo and plenty of port and polish.
You need to get the code before you diagnois a bad EGR again. The mods are fine and shouldn't cause your problems, I don't know magna, but trust in banks.
IF you can, I'd go back to the Ford intake. It can not be beat by any aftermarket intake for the 6.0 diesel. In fact, Banks even says that. That alone could be throwing the codes.....
