OK so I have my X-plan code, I am just planning on going in and seeing what I can negotiate, and then dropping the "so what if I were to get it at X-plan price what would that be?"
I wan't a Black on Black 2006 Lariat Screw. Not sure if I will go 4x2 or 4x4 since I won't be doing anything crazy with my truck. I guess it depends on the difference in cost, but since I'm in Chicago land it probably would be a good idea to go 4x4. Anyways what should I expect to pay, X-plan price - $5500 cash back?
I wan't the Lariat pretty loaded but it doesn't have to have "EVERY" option.
Does $25,000 for the 4x2, or $28,000 for the 4x4 sound about right (x-plan + $5500 discount)? Thanks fella's...FLU
You can get the x-plan price off the internet if you know the specific vehicle you are looking at. Go to Fordpartner or Forddirect and follow the instructions.
I always take the xplan price with me. Also, the dealer is suppose to give you a copy of the invoice showing the xplan price.
you won't do any better than the xplan price. you get any rebates besides. Last I knew you got $3500 off of an 06 screw. Xplan pricing is a couple hundred lower than invoice. My 07 screw MSRP (the sticker price) was $40,950. I am buying it for $37,244.15. then the rebate of $3000, and a $750 internet coupon. so my buying price is $33.494.15. The same truck under xplan would be maybe $33.100. They lowered the prices of 07's by about $1000 so it might be better for you to get an 07 unless they really make a big rebate for the 06. A good dealer will show you the invoice. you can see the xplan price there, and the aplan, and what they call dealer hold back. That is how much the dealer is garanteed to make on the deal. Anything they sell the truck over invoice is theres too.

Chris, What did you mean by lowering the price of the 07's by 1000.00 is this something as of late? Also where did you pick up the 750.00 dollar internet coupon??
My situation is I am recieving my truck this week from the dealer an 07 FX4 and I want to make sure I am getting all available rebates and incentives. Should I ask for the invoice to verify things? Thanks for your help.. V/r Fordfrog..
NP glad to help if I can. My understanding is Ford lowered the list price of the 07 screw trucks by $1000. So that applies to any 07..... The internet coupon I do believe was because I spent a lot of time on forddirect.com and with cookies on the computer I think they sent me an email giving me a $750 coupon to get me to the dealer. You might want to ask your dealer if there is a way for them to get you the $750 off. My offer has a customer ID code for the dealer to put into the system to get the discount. Good luck to you... hope it works out
My ford dealer told me there is $2000 rebate, $1000 bonus cash back and $750. xplan rebate if you qualify for xplan. This is on 07. I don't know what they are on 06.

Goose, I have an X-plan number but the dealer beat the price. Is the 750.00 rebate exclusive to the X-plan? I might have to reevaluate if it turns out cheaper.. V/r Frog
I find it hard to believe that the dealer beat the Xplan price since it's about 1% over emplyee price. It would not surprise me that the dealer on the non Xplan price has the hard encoded $500 to $750 profit in the contract. Look for the already typed in number, it may be a called a prep fee. Ford pays the dealer to prep the vehicles.

I wouldnt waste mine, yours, or anyone elses time posting false information. I have an X-plan pin in hand and tried to use it at three diffrent dealerships all three were able to beat the x-plan price. I have the paperwork all of it and nothing hidden they just flat out beat the price. I just took my time and was not afraid to walk out. Actually I got the X-plan price at the first dealership and used it as a baseline to negotiate with other dealerships eventually the lowest one gets the deal which was aproxmately 300.00 cheaper than x-plan minus rebates and incentives. I simply took my time....
So you are saying on the exact same vehicle( same vin number),since you went to different dealerships. Depending on when vehicle ships can change the price! One on the lot of equal configuration that was sitiing on the lot prior to the Xplan vehicle could have a lower price then the XPlan of the vehicle you got a price on it. Ask his price on the same exact vehicle ( vin #), or ask him the xplan price on the vehicle he has sitting on the lot. You have to Xplan price and get his price on the same vehicle to actually compare apples to apples.

OK I went to dealer 1 and built the vehicle I wanted OK. I tell him to do up the order sheet and let me have the sheet listing the prices invoice, xplan a plan d-plan. Its right there on the sheet. I say thanks and leave knowing the x-plan price on the vehicle I built. I go home and write to diffrent dealerships in the area and list my exact options for the build make and model of the same truck same options. I just dont mention in the e-mail that I have an x-plan number. Before I send the e-mail I drop the price 400.00 below x-plan and tell them that such and such dealer has offered this price for this exact vehicle and if they can beat it to call if not dont bother. I go back and forth with certain dealers until they dont budge and I know I have hit rock bottom it just takes time and patients. This is the second time I have done this and it works well. I did the same on an f-350 back in 2004 and wound up not using the X-plan pin number either and wound up 400.00 cheaper than X-plan. There are a lot of dealerships in this area and they need the business and will compete fiercely for customers. Especially this time of year. Hope this explains it. FYI this is for a vehicle that I want build and order not on allready on the lot that would never work and would not make sense. I am due to recieve the vehicle this week.. V/r Frog
