Smile Good Deal!
Howdy everyone. I bid on a plasma cutter that SGI had, and won. Brought it home, plugged it in, and it works great! Nice to come out ahead for a change.

oh man preppys gonna be sore hehehe. ive jsut started using a plasma, man are they ever a slick machine. they are slow to gouge with but do an especially beautiful job of it. whats teh range on your machine?

I haven't had much chance to play with it yet --- I have a final exam to write Monday at the U of S. The only thing I had to do was install an air fitting to match my system, and put on a cord end to plug it in. The book says it should cut 3/4" no problem. I wrote my name in some 3/8" material to try it out, and it works slick. Can hardly wait to try it out on a quarter panel or fender.

Be sure to use a water filter on your air supply line. Moisture will eat up the expensive consumables and it`s very hard on the plasma.

I got to try the plasma cutter at work last winter. Man can you do some cool stuff with it. WAY easier than a torch! Quick too. Have fun with your new toy!
