water pump prob. w/pic
hey guys just found some drops under the truck.this pump only has 20k on it.my question is why is it leaking from the shaft to the back?i thought they leaked underneath.im just wondering if something could be out of alignment.

go to auto zone, good price and lifetime replacement garantee. Cant top that. Also the hole in the bottom is not entirely indicitive of bad pump, freezing can cause that to, it is a weep hole designed to give before causing engine problems. As for the the fluid leaking in the picture I would check the seal at the thermostat, at the heater outlet there is an o ring that could be bad and also make sure the temp bulb is sealed. That looks like a bad seal, not a bad pump. Grab the pulley and see if the shaft wiggles, no wiggle good pump any wiggle pump is going bad.
