Shifting Problem

This problem use to only happen once a month but now its everytime i drive it. I will just be driving along and its like i just let completely off the pedal, sometimes it does it when im stopped and then take off i hit it and no response the check engine light comes on sometimes just a flash and 1 time it stayed on for 2 min then when off when that happened the OD light was flashing. When this happen the truck immediately starts shifting like the torque converter is locked in every gear and the truck lugs with every shift. I will go back to normal when I turn off the truck and then turn it back on. No flashing OD light usually when it does this just that one time. I tried to pull the codes but none showed up. Why is this doing this im afraid its going to hurt the transmission.

I would pull the chip off and see if it does it with the stock set up and settings.

The chip is a chip i made nothin special 2 settings uses the ICP "10k mod" i just switch between stock, 18k and 10k. And its been off for a while anyway.

you may try to check the tps. if you have a dead spot(s) it will momentarely set a cel but then go away.it should send a value to the pcm of about .60 volts with the pedal at idle, and go up to about 3.70 volts at full throttle. slowly raise the pedal and cafefully watch the data stream to make sure that it raises voltage.good luck.
