Just bought a 2000 Eddie Bauer Expy with the Mach system last month.
The CD changer didn't work, which we figured out on our drive home. It was telling us "Empty Mag". So, we took it back and the dealer replaced our changer with another one yesterday. It worked fine until tonight, then gave me the "Empty Mag" error again.
Is the problem with my changer, or is it the head unit??
Option 1: Dealership lied, took your bad changer out shook it around and put it back in.
Option 2: You got a second bad changer...go buy a lottery ticket, your on a roll.
Option 3: It's your head unit, not even you have that bad of luck.
Perhaps the harness is damaged. Once of those lines reports info from the mag sensor.

I doubt it, because I had to make a trip up there (50 miles each way) to have it removed, and a second trip up there a week later to get the replacement.

Maybe, I don't know... I'm going to call them and see what they will do to fix it.
