Hard or No Start...
I am having some trouble getting my truck to start in this cold weather (-11F and -23F w/ wind chill). It was plugged in all night about 17 hours and it still wouldn't start. I cranked it (seemed strong) it started spuddered and died, I tried again and it this I pressed the gas pedal and held it for second and it started. Has done that once before this summer. I nervous to shut it off because it may leave me walking and in these temperatures thats a scary thought.
A couple things the owner told me...
* All fuel pumps changed lasted Fall.
* Battery is a couple seasons old.
* Alternator is orginal.
Thing I know...
* Sepentine belt needs replacement.
* One pulley makes a grinding noise (the one directly right of alternator), it seems to be attached to nothing.
If you guys can provide any info I would be greatful.
Thanks,
Evs
