Was the block warm down by the oil filter? You can ohm it out from the flat prongs on the cord.
The block heater is only 1 small part of the cold weather startup. Is the GP system working?

Well Im very new to diesels..... So i have no clue how to check and see if the GP is workiing, IM sure that you mean Glow Plug (GP) And yea the truck starts and runs beautiful it just stalls the first time. If i check and see if the block is warm how long does it usually take to warm up?

Most people give it 3-4 hours on a timer or just leave it plugged it all night.

When the engine is cold, plug the block heater in... go back outside 2-3 hours later and feel the block, should be warm. If it's not, block heater or cord or your power outlet where you're plugging in aren't working.

its two pieces the cord and the element together its less than 75 bucks if i remember right.

On a cold morning like that how long do you give it after the WTS light goes off before you crank it

Thats it "Wait To Start" the GP's will be energized for up to 2 minutes (depending on ambient conditions) after the light goes out, give it about 30 seconds or so before you try to crank and see if it is better.

im wondering the same thing about mine, the other day when it was around 25* out i plugged mine in for about an hour an it made no diff at start up, started on the first try but chugged an blew lots of smoke for awhile. im gona try it again tomorrow morning for a few hours an see what that does. is there any audible sound that they make to tell if they are working? would the plug be at all warm after some time? it has a new GPR, but i do think if have a few GP's out need to ohm them out sometime an somewhere warm. sorry

Ok i pluged in, Correct me if im wrong the block heater just heats up the oil? The WTS light heats up the glow plugs. If thats the case and it still is doing it but the block heater is working, can i put new glow plugs in it and that would help?

Block heater heats the coolant in the block and that heats everthing it touches.

There are some test to do to see if it is the relay or the plugs themselves
