98 Expy front diff problem

98 Expy front diff problem
My Expy won't engage the front diff. The xcase is working and the drive shaft turns but no power to the wheels. Is there a solenoid in the diff that I need to replace? It's snowing and nasty here in MI and I need the extra wheels spinning. thanks

Don't know the answer but think I read that your hubs are vacuum activated and can stop working if the vacuum is lost. If it is an external hose that is usually easy and chep to fix. If internal then yoiu would need to open up the hub.
Like I said I don't know the answer and have no experience with your model.
