sounds about right . I keep records of gas and miles .(About 600000+ miles worth of records) For reembersment and taxes. Of all F150 4x4's I,ve had 10 . In a manual trans /3.55 rears with 351 best average of all trucks ever got average was 14 miles per gallon. Of coarse there were trips out west I got up to 16mpg on single tanks . With the auto 13 mpg was average give or take . With 302 manual 3.55 I have got average of 16 mpg up to 20mpg in a 89 F150 (loved that truck )on trips. And untill I got my new (94 maf 302 Sc 4x4) the auto average was 14.5 mpg. Thats for driving in hills of western PA. with average trip of 30 miles or more one way. In town I don't even look at gas guage . Take 1-2 mpg off above if you drive short or in town alot . Good luck
10-12 is about right... it depends a lot on how you drive it. If you drive it like you stole it, then you'll pay more at the pump. If you take it easy, accelerate more slowly, and drive like an old man you can pick up a couple MPG's easy.
Yeah sounds about right maybe you can get better but not much better it depends if you have od on too i think that helps a bit i just bought my truck so iam trying to figure out my mileage too the guy i bought it from has all the records he said he got around 15 to 15.5 constantly i dont think im getting that prob because its winter and i have to warm it up
I got 17 once this summer driving through Northern Indiana doing exactly 65. It was a complete fluke though, because I have never been able to replicate it. I normally always get 15 on 100% expressway driving. I drive like Grandpa, too, because I am cheap and want to buy as little gas for this pig as possible.
