Yes, but then you need special pistons to maintain proper deck height. Better off to bore the block .050" to make it 4.05" bore and use the 390 pistons.
4.050" is standard bore for a 390. I may be wrong about some of the early blocks, but I think the 352 used the same cores as the 390. The 360 is the same 3.50" stroke as the 352, but the 4.050" 390 bore. Kinda makes sense, one block, one bore, different cranks, until you get to some of the bigger, more expensive engines. I think that's how Henry made his money. LOL
Standard over bore back in the 352's day were +.030" and +.060". So I see no problem going .050" ever as the core shift problems had not really been a problem yet.
