Help on 1997 250 specs
Does anyone know the specs on a 1997 F250 7.3? How much can it tow? Any odds and ins to look out for? I am looking at one with 112K miles for a secondary work truck for about 10K. I need to pull a tractor (45 horse deere) and implements. Any help would be great.

Towing weights
I had 97F250 XLT 4x4 5.8 auto and I have the 97 sales litature and reading of this the 7.3 with 3.55 and 4.10 axles will tow 10,000 across the board except the F350 4x4 srw reg cab is 9,900, super cab F 250 4x4 is 9,800 and crew cab F 250 4x4 is 9,500 and 350 SRW is 9,400 the lighter weights are with the 3.55 axle ratio. the GCWR with the 3.55 is 16,000 and the 4.10 axle is 20,000. My new SD 250 XLT 4X4 V10 tow command will tow circles over my old truck but that was also a very nice truck. Fifth well weights are more with the 4.10 axle. I you need more info on this truck let me know. What to look for ball joints changed greaseable or not, ujoints on driveline have they been changed just normal wear parts.
