IF the lowest you can find is $250 + alignment, then I'd either rent that spring compressor, or buy a autospring leveling kit and put the daystar one on ebay for the same price as the autospring one.
Since the daystars usually cost about $130 and about $80 for the autospring, some one that wants a daystar will gladly pay $50 less for a still new product. And you wouldn't have to pay any stupid amount for someone to install it either. You could do it yourself even.
Pull the wheel off and look at how easy it is take the strut assembly apart. Once apart just bring it to almost ANY shop and they'll compress/remove the spring and install the autospring. You can do it with a simple wratchet set and a pair of jack stands. If I lived near you I would do it for a few beers.
