Does anyone else find their safety belts too sensitive? Whenever I come to a stop the belts lock immediately. I've had to start pulling it forward when I'm coming to a stop so that I can lean forward to see if there is traffic coming. It also makes leaning forward to put my cup back in the drink holder a bit of a challenge as well.
Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity? I don't know if it has to do with the fact my truck is a 4x4 off road version or not.
There is a TSB forbelts not rectracting all the way leaving slack on newer trucks, but i haven't heard of them being to sensitive... you could use the TSB function on the website...
The only TSB I saw just said Safety Belt Retractor Speed, no details or anything.
I'm getting pretty good at planning my stops by pulling the belt forward but occassionally I still get caught by it.
Being a "bodacious" female I'm not crazy about shoulder belts to begin with. lol
My local dealer is not a place I'd take a vehicle to. I also work in an automotive shop so I have someone who could do what needs to be done if I can find out what that is.
