Arrow Windsor Fuel Delivery

I have a 351W in my '83 that hit 9000 miles off a total rebuild. The heads were totally redone. I want to change my fuel delivery. It has a stock intake with an Autolite Carb.

part #1: I know that I can put MPFI from a newer windsor on it, but will my heads need to be changed for this? (I'd hate to waste $300 heads.)

part #2: I found factory TBI on a few Town Cars/Marquis sitting on top of thier 302s. Would that TBI work on my engine, and if so, what would all be needed and how difficult would it be.

check out www.fordfuelinjection.com

the easiest thing would be to locate a complet mustang mass air harness and injector harness. get an A9L or A9P ecu. you will need to lengthen some of the wires and do some repinning but that website gives all of those details. not to hard of a process. you will need to swap out your gas tank for one with an electric fuel pump etc.. but the swap is doable and is benefical as well

I am refering to just the throttle body. I'm hoping that the ford factory TBI is like a GM, able to be used independately. Ford fuel injection explains very well how to do a multiport swap, but it is more complicated and will take longer than I have for my daily driver.

Does anyone have any info on the ford TBI?

ive got tbi on my grand marquis wagon... its a worthless piece of crap imo... and im switching to a 4 barrel carb and intake as soon as i can... also theres a bunch of other stuff you have to change to use fuel injection... like the distributor and front timing cover and some other things i cant think of offhand... so it would be way easier to just swap an edelbrock 4 barrel intake and carb on there and be done with it... 400 dollars total for a brand new carb and intake shipped from summit... i think its worth it and thats what ive got for my 302 maverick- oh and no you dont have to mess with heads to use mpfi on a small block... thats only for the big block 460
