Anyone know the eye to eye length of the front and rear leaf springs for a 1976 4x4 f-250 high boy? I am trying to see if springs from a Super Duty will fit it. I also need to know the same sizes for a 99-04 Superduty. And I think I need to know the hanger eye to the spring perch hole too? I am pretty sure they are 3 inches wide too. Thanks guys! also, any idea if 44s will fit this truck with only 12 inch lift springs, if not, what is the largest size tire then?
The front springs won't bolt it. Some people here have used them, but they had to fab new hangers/shackels. The '76 rear springs are 2 1/2" wide and the S.D. uses 3" wide so you would need to change the hangers & drill all new holes.
here's what I found to use in my hi-boy. I just replaced the rear springs with new ones part # DP 43-721 from Keystone Spring Service. They are the same spring used from 1973 to 1997 dual wheel F-350. They are 2 1/4" wide and have 10 leaves, the center bolt is center at 26" Priced at 141.77 ea.
Now for the front springs on my 1976 the shackle hanger on the rear of the spring is center to center 3 3/4" length is 53" and center bolt is 26" from the front and 27 1/2" from the rear.
Can't help with super duty measurements.
Hope this helps you out.
Have a great day
