So as some of you remember I have 5 53-56 trucks That I bought to build one, time to free up some space and recoup some $$ What standard truck stuff brings some $ I saw a steering box go for over $100 and some used hubs and brakes go for over $100 are those anomolys or what? Basically what small shippable stuff is worth something? If any local guys want complete shells with titles or sheetmetal let me know back channel. I will post an official classified add soon for bigger stuff. I am not particularily soliciting just trying to know what to sell.

I would bet that the whole clutch equalizer bar assembly would go for a pretty penny; especially if the bushing, spring and hangar pin are in decent shape. That is if any of these trucks had shifts on the column. This is the steel shaft that the clutch and brake pedal arms are attached to with a spring that slides over the shaft.

Mine was completely worn out. I still need two parts, PM sent, but would really be interested in following an auction to see what would happen.

If your trucks have solid fenders (even "reasonably" solid) and you're willing to deal with shipment via Greyhound or whatever, fenders are always a good bet. Maybe less so on mid-fifties where they make repros.

$350 - 500 is about what I've seen while searching in vain for '51-'52 repros. I've sold a full set of '51 fenders on eBay, two at a time, and got about $75 apiece for the fronts (not great, not bad condition), and $150 for a set of F-2 rear fenders.

Shipping via Greyhound is pretty painless; just wrap them up in bubble-wrap and a bunch of tape. Cost about $50 from Albuquerque to Milwaukee for the rears.

F-100 steering and brakes are standard fare for "traditional" hot rods ('28-34) and can go for big dollars.

Mid Fifty will give 50.00 credit for steering boxes in any condition with good cases for the cores. Ignition and door locks with keys, electric wiper motors, E brake assemblies, radios and interior trim parts always seem to bring good prices. Any salvagable bolted on sheet metal: running boards, inner fender panels, air deflectors, hood latch panel, radiator support, tailgates and beds.
