I took delivery of my 05 350 Aug. 2004. In June of 05 I took my truck to the dealer for a few things, one being scratched glass on my drivers door and front pass. door. FMC would not allow dealer to replace saying customer doesn't keep truck clean enough (anyone who knows me, knows it isn't true).
Well boys I have been vindicated! I found out a TSB was issued in Aug. 2006, for the same problem. My truck has fixed with perty new windows and new seals. TSB 06-18-2
Hope this helps the guys who had to deal with the same stupid comment from Ford rep.
had mine replaced on my 06 and their scratched again. And my truck is also spotless clean. Shouldnt have to keep it clean, just build the truck right !!!!
I was cleaning my windows on my 05 250 crew cab and noticed that the front passenger window has several scratches and the bad one is deep and goes up about 1/3 of the window. Does the dealer replace the tint or is it something that they contract out for? The sad thing is that it is the window that is very rarely used although it just take once. The drivers side is fine.

At least Ford is addressing this problem. GPW200493, from my experience, the dealer will only replace the OEM part the tsb covers. If you had the dealer send out the truck for the tinting, it may be covered as well. Not sure though.
My 99 also has scratched glass on the front drivers and pass doors. Anyone know if they are making a tsb for all years because it is apparently a major problem

As far as I know, it was only '05 and up that had the problem. At least, those are the only ones we heard about here at FTE
My '03 had the scratches as well, so far the '06 seems to be fine. As far as the older trucks go and the TSB, if your out of warranty your s.o.l. You can get the tsb repair done but its on your coin.
