Here I was asleep in my little hotel bed, at 3:00am. Its extremely dark. Some dude walks in my room, Starts throwing my luggage off the spare bed. I tell him he is in the wrong room, he tells me to "shut up" . Okay its dark, late, and I was barely awake... and I was only in my undies, and a T-shirt. (pretty picture for ya) So I Go down to the front desk, (yes in my undies) get security, go back to the room, and the intruder is sleeping in the spare bed. Securtity wakes him and then there is an aurgument about who's room it is (which I won)... Then the guy says I stole his shoes!! (WTF) Finally we get the whole situation calmed down, the guy was extremely drunk. He get's sent off down the hall, and escorted back to his room. We look at the door lock and it wouldn't lock, it would open no matter what card was put in the slot. So I throw the dead bolt (which I didn't have locked before). They replaced the lock first thing the next day, I get a free nights stay at any holiday inn in the Canton area (there is only one), and a few free drink tickets from the bar. The whole time the security manager is trying to hide behind me... It was soo weird. Moral of the story... always use the little chain or through the deadbolt on your door.
I didn't used to but now I always dead bolt and lock any other locks on the door. It has become harder for someone to get into your room at most hotels but no sense giving them any better chances.

I can have a good time anywhere :-) If you go there often I can give you names of a few great places to eat, and good bars.
