00 Front end thump

I have a 2000 Explorer XLT V8 AWD. I have been hearing a thump or a clunk in the front end, I think the passenger side. I heard this sound last winter, and very rarely heard it over the summer. It has gotten cold again and I hear that nasty noise again. I have recently replaced both hub assemblies since the passenger side was starting to squeal, replaced lower ball joints, uppers are still fine, and it still is making the clunk noise. It is too far forward for it to be the torsion bar insulators, everything seems tight in the front end, but just cant pinpoint the cause.

Any ideas?

I have a 2000 that started doing the same thing in January when we had a real cold snap. I replaced the shocks with no luck, so I took out the sway bar and no more noise. I replaced all the bushings on the sway bar a few weeks ago and haven't heard the noise since. Good Luck
