Hello All,
Okay, so before long I will be replacing the Cab Speakers in my 99 F250 SD Regular Cab. Before I start, I have a few questions about the speakers:
1) What size are the door speakers and side speakers in the regular cab trucks.
2) Is there anyway I can replace the speakers w/o cutting and splicing wires. Can I use the original plugs and do any companies make adapters to directly plug into the factory harness.
3) What is the best brand for direct replacement speakers. I had infinity in my old Jeep and loved them for their size. Any suggestions on the best speakers to buy.
I am just interesting in finding a nice speaker that is a direct replacement since my original speakers, which are 7+ years old are starting to crackle and sound bad. I listen to country music mostly, so an excessive system in my truck is not what Im gonig for. Thanks in advance for any advice and info.
Check Crutchfield, they will let you know what fits and supply a direct connect to the factory wires. They also have have door removal tools. Good luck. (i like polk audio)

1) 6x8
2)Yes, theres adapters for a/m speakers, you can get those from Best Buy, Walmart or any car audio shop
As far as the "best" brand is concerned, I have Boston Accoustics in my truck and love 'em! They come in a 6 x 8. I have an amp behind mine, but when I listened to them in the store being powered by just a head unit they sounded great. Nice bass and crisp highs. I have Infinity's in my jeep grand cherokee and they sound great as well. I believe they come in a 6 x 8 also. You can't go wrong with either one. Hope this helps.
