Hello all, my speakers are blown out in my 1991 F150 Lariat. What size speakers do I need as replacements? I went to Best Buy and they gave us 2 seperate boxes of speakers, 4 speakers total. My truck is a regular cab and only has 2 speakers, why would they give us 4? I dont understand, they looked up the exact model and year in their database and it said that it needs 4 speakers.
More importantly, does anybody have detailed instructions of how to remove the speakers on my truck?
I can't help with the detailed instructions on the install but maybe with the speaker quantity. Are you sure you only have 2 speakers? I ask because you might have 2 more speakers mounted up on the rear pillars, that's how my reg cab truck was when I had it. Maybe they aren't hooked up or maybe the fader on the deck is set to front only. I'd check that before returning the other pair of speakers.
I'm not sure if www.the12volt.com has any install instructions but you might try that site. You have to register in order to get into the diagrams and stuff but they won't spam you. In fact, I've never received anything from them since I registered over a year ago.
i would get some good 300w pioneers or higher with tweeters on them :-) i got mines from walmart for 40 buckz in total cheaper than bestbuy because they dont know how much spkrs are really worth heheheh i was lucky and funny thing is i did the installation right at walmart's parkin lot ......all in one shot....
