Low: that is pretty slick! Did this idea come to you after the 4th or 14th beer? ha ha! I would assume the frame could be rolled out sideways from under the cab and a high clearance Roll-around stand for the cab could be slid underneath. I'll have to try your method next.
I used my engine hoist also. I have one of those levelers that came with the hoist. I attatched chains at the front cab mounts and the rear seat mounts. Put some tension on it, leveled it out and lifted it up. I have a picture in my gallery. You can't see much from it, but it will give you the general idea.
Digger, nice job. I with the leveler. Ferusonicford, ya, it only took 7 beers and some good searching on FTE for me to come up with that idea...hahaha. Someone on here had a simular idea and I modified it from there. It was cheep since I had the wood laying in my garage and so far so good. I plan on lifting it and swinging it to the side with the hoist to place it on a dolly (pallet with wheels). That will be easier than me moving the frame...I think!
I took the door off and use my engine host ,through the door ,chains on the floor .
Just this past weekend I removed the cab of my son's 55 F100 with a similar concept, except I left the doors on and ran the hoist arm thru the window opening.
