My truck has been shaking from idle to about 1300 rpm's, it will smoke blue when I give it some throttle and it starts to shake and has a power loss when it does this too. The problem isnt all the time but it is most of the time, It almost allways happens when I get off the highway from running at about 70 mph and 2000 rpm, when I come to a stop and im just idleing at a trafic light, the truck will shake a little, and I get some bad injector knock at this time too. When I start to go the truck will shake and blue smoke starts to come from the tailpipe. I dont have any codes, and I ran the CC test with my A.E. and passed. Tomorrow im going to change my oil and fuel filter, do a buss test, and look things over. Anyone have any expirence with this type of problem, or know any other tests I can run with my A.E. to find out whats going on?
How many miles are on your truck? Blue smoke is definately oil. A little shaking at idle seems pretty normal. Mine does it, even with a Fluidampr installed, but not much. I think you're right with a possible injector problem. I don't think AE is going to be able to point this one out to you. It sounds like you have an o-ring that has gone bad on an injector, letting oil into the fuel.
I have 90k on it right now. The shaking isnt the normal diesel shake, it chugs when it shakes. I was thinking o-rings but that wouldnt explain the power loss or the shaking would it?
I took the 10k out when this problem started. I dont know why the CC test didnt show anything, it just said I passed. The blue smoke only happens when I give it throttle "under 1300 rpm". I gotta see if theres something I can look at with my A.E. when this problem is happening while im driving. Its doesnt happen as much at idle as it does between 900-1300 rpm, thats when its the worst.
