Need HELP-Rear end

I'm in need of a lot of ideas and help, maybe even some consoling. I have an F250-59' with 4.56 rearend gears. I swaped the engine and want to go on the freeway without reving all the bolts loose. I called the local rearend shop and they quoted almost $1000 bucks to change to a different gear because on the Spicer 60 Rear it needs the carrier changed also:-staun . I'm about ready to cry especially since I told my wife about $2000 bucks ago that it was almost done except for the major A/C purchase. . I got a couple of thoughts and need some serious help from all you guys. I'm thinking it would be cheaper to change to a 1/2 ton rear then change the front to match lug patern(maybe the disc conversion since the spindles are the same). I need to know for starters:

A. what exactly are the differences between the 3/4 and the 1/2 ton? I know the weight dif is around 300lbs.
B. Is the frame wider so I'd have to worry about axle width and mounts?
C. What axle/gear combo would be the best? Could I just get one from a 58-60' 1/2 ton ford? Would I actually be able to make it (don't hang up on me)with a 3/4 ton ch**y rear like from a suburban? Would the bolt pattern match? That way I could keep the front end.
D. Am I going to have drive line issues?
E. If I do go with a 1/2 ton axle, will I have problems with weight and tire weight ratings/ plys, etc?

Thanks a bunch in advance for the help guys.

James
(I feel like I just watched my truck get stolen)

You should be able to find a later model rear from an F or E 250 cheap, like $200. With minor modifications (possibly changing the end of the driveshaft or moving the spring perches) I would think you could keep the project under $500.

Need HELP-Rear end

I just recently found a 9" out of a 59 in the local yard for $150. The measurements could'nt get much closer. This is my best option at this time. I also found out that my front end already is equiped with half ton axle and spindles(SCORE)!
Best news I've had all week. I plan on going to look at the rear axle tomorrow morning and if all looks good, I get it.

Any suggestions on what to look for??

Now I'll just have to figure out how to mount the brake booster/master cylinder and pedal assembly from a 97 t-bird.(got it for $50 from a friend.)
