It just Died!

What would cause a 2005 F-350 Turbo Diesel about 22000 miles to just die at about 70 mph? System check says everything OK!

hey mlawrence
kinda new here, but similar situation happened to me couple of months back. truck went into safe mode when high pressure oil line broke under turbo. truck would not restart wound up replacing high pressure oil line entire right bank of injectors and turbo. dont quite know the cause as i am not a mechanic nor do i claim to be, but that is what happened to me in a similar situation. good luck with that

try to crank your truck and watch the oil pressure gauge and let us know what happens. a number of things can cause it to shut off.

It is probably leaking oil out of the stc fitting in the back of the high pressure oil pump. Have it towed to your dealer. It's still under warranty, isn't it?
