Smaller Disc Brake Booster?
For some reason, the brake booster won't fit past the valve covers of the engine. I was told it has 428 SCJ heads on it and edelbrock aluminum intake. That combined with the aftermarket valve covers probably are the problem.
Has anyone else run in to the problem?
Is there a smaller disc brake booster/mc setup that I could use?
Do you think changing valve covers would do it or is it the heads themselves?
Anyone have experience with aftermarket brake booster/mc combos?
I think 73 and 74 may have run a smaller booster than say 76, like I have.
John
The F-350 requires a dual diaphram 9 1/4 " booster
For those of us that put the high valve covers (Ford Racing) on our engines we need the F350 9 1/4 " booster.
F350 4x2 Booster number stamped in pushrod is FT-39
Precision number #2512300
You will also need the F350 MC .
The brake line output is also on the opposite of the MC (fender side) to the one you have.

Thanks John, knowing the heads are the same leaves the valve covers or possibly the wrong engine mounts raising the engine higher than it should be. But having looked at those, I don't think they are the problem. They are aftermarket valve covers, I believe aluminum, they have "M/T" on them. I've seen that before, but I'm not familiar with the significance.
Thanks Dennis, I'll have to order one of those. My lines were actually on the fender side. Too bad I bent them to fit the engine side before finding out the booster/mc didn't fit.
