LS 3.73 Diff

Why does ford say to add the friction reducer to the rear end? What brand is best? How much is required?

The LS rearend has clutch packs on the spider gears and needs the friction reducer to keep the packs from making (chadder) noise.

I use Redline fluid with the additive already in it. Some fluids, like Mobil One and Castrol Hypoy claim to have it, but my experience is that they still need the additive.
