Spring retainer brackets
I have took my rear leaf springs apart, and wire brushed between each one, ( you would not beleive all the crap in that little groove ), and have reassembled them, after liberally greaseing them ( I probably put to much cuz when i compressed the springs i had 1/2 a tub of grease come out). I then replaced the bolts that go thru the brackets( the 4 that seem to keep the leafs all lined up). ok here is the question... how tight should those be torqued to? or should they be loose enuff so that the leafs can slide easilly? Should I use a nyloc nut and not torque it down?

Real snug with a locknut should be fine. If you bend the brackets up against the springs, they'll just wear the brackets until you do have some clearance again.
