if your going to do it, do it before the warranty runs out. that way if there is a issue, it might be covered. i say do it, alot of people say heck no. it is not a bad flash, just the people who do it improperly.

I had the flash done when they serviced the injectors on my 03. Seems to be a little more responsive. I do get a puff of black smoke when I first step on the accelerator after startup. According to the techs at Ford this is expected, (at least for this update).

I took mine in 4 days ago and had the flash done. I've ran a tank of fuel through it and haven't noticed any gain or loss of fuel mileage. I do think I see more of a puff of the black smoke when i step on it, but I can't say for sure. Also, I don't think it has reduced any of the turbo lag from a dead-stop. When pulling out onto the main road near my house, the lag still feels the same. But, I'm not complaining either. I am more than happy with the power I've got under the hood!

all you got was the "buzzing". your truck has no running change reflash as of yet.

I've seen nothing but good come from this recall. It might look bad that in some cases the check engine light comes on right after the flash is done, but in most of those cases there was something wrong that wasn't showing up before. A lot of times it's that sticky turbo that only gave grief during trailer towing or hill climbing that now shows itself after 5 minutes of idle time. And once it's replaced, the flash keeps it in good working order.

I have an 07 that does not do the injector cycle. Should I ask for this flash on my 07 to improve injector/turbo performance- or is it nor required on 07's?
I have not seen which year this applies to. Thanks.

it applies to all 6.0s even the medium duty trucks. just go ask for it. in the long run it will pay off.
