Head Swap

Would it be possible to swap two valve heads for three valve heads on 5.4?

They should bolt to the block, but you will need all of the hardware such as exhaust manifolds, intake set-up and computer with complete wiring harness to get it to work. You will also need to rig up the drive-by-wire throttlebody set-up.

Since you already have 5.4 you might think about 4 valve heads and intake off of a Navigator. I've seen complete heads as cheap as $600.

Compression with Navigator heads on the 2V block will be right around 8:1.
Navigators use a flat-top piston,and the 2V's use a dished piston.

it will be far easier to just supercharge you current motor then go though the work of changing to a 3 valve. head design.

If his wanting to go as far as doing a head swap, might as well pull the engine and rebuild it with the flat tops. If its not over your budget, if you have one.
