I can't exactly answer your question. Never put one in a 6.9 before. However, I did have one in an Olds 442 (400 smallblock) I used to drive when I lived in Wyoming years ago. Sub-zero temps a LOT of the time. Heater worked great.
Yeah I have used them in other vehicles in the past. The one that I bought says only to use if there is at least a 15 degree rise from the radiator to the engine, I don't think that we got that goin on.
I don't think that I am going to be able to make it for the GTG. I have been working dark to dark 6 days a week, and am going to Newport, which is around 150 miles farther away from your side of the state to work starting Monday and lasting until April or longer.
