Hello live in northeastern Pa and looking for a transmission for my f25 powerstroke diesel 2wd standerd. People around here want 5000.00 for new and rebuilt one 3000.00 no junk yard has any. Any help excepted
i bought mine from ford 2 yrs ago,it was $2725.00 w/core charge.core value was 1000.00 . actually,it wasnt a bad deal because they gave me a3yr/36000 mile warranty as long as i followed their checklist.i r&r d the trans myself, and they still warranty it even if you put it in.the best thing was if it went bad i could take to any ford dealer and they would swap for $125.00 serv fee.but the main thing was you really had to do the checklist thing and mail in a registration form,no big deal though.so far its been working greatfor 86000 miles.and yes, they refunded me my 1000.00 core.so after all it was 1725.00
that shounds like a deal ya got there. my rebuild was 2500 but ive got a stage 3 billet converter and shift kit. i would have settled for a stocker at that price.

He kind of snuck it in there on us but I'm pretty sure based on this that he's looking for a standard (ZF5) transmission.
Is your pricing for the part or an installed price? I found THIS SOURCE that qoutes $1750 plus $500 core charge. Scroll to the bottom to see the ZF5 Ford tranny pricing.
Just noticed there is no link to go to the home page from the above link, THIS LINK will take you there.
I have a ZF 5 speed that came out of my 1995 F250 PowerStroke that needs rebuilt that I will sell. A local shop quoted me $500 three years ago for all new synchronizer rings (they have a source for just the rings and do not need to replace the entire synchronizer). This was if I brought the transmission to them out of the truck. I will be in Pittsburgh over Christmas holiday, going on to Deleware later in the week so we could meet somewhere that way if you are interested. It can be used as is if you can double clutch (I did it for several years before I found a used one). Email me at Believer45@netzero.com if you want to discuss further.
