not CPS?
Had issue with my 03 F350 with 57k on the PSD. Engine would skip or miss once in a while and other times all out die. Once it died and would not restart. After 5 minutes or so of cranking / waiting it did, and then ran fine. I was convinced it was the CPS. It's under warentee so I brough it to the dealer. Dealer just called and said pick it up, they can't find a problem - doesn't that leave a code? They say they can't find a problem, or a code, or duplicate the problem...any ideas?

The CPS sometimes sets codes, other times does not...I'd just buy a new CPS (not at Ford dealer - go to IH dealer) and replace the CPS. Keep the old one as a spare. I bet it solves your problem...There are a number of other things it could be (UV harness, fuel pump, etc) but I doubt it. I'd start with the CPS, it is easy to change and you need a spare anyway.

cool - thanks for the input and quick response as well. I was going to grab a spare anyway at some point, I'll just get 2 and keep one as the spare. Definitally not at the stealership - agreed!
