We've been lucking so far here in Madhappiness with just the wind blowing and it being cold. The weather folks say it is worse south and east. I didn't even dig out the snow blower. I know there are a few of you that are hoping for snow so you can get the truck busy pushing snow and make a few bucks.
I was caught in a sleet storm earlier today when I was out back looking for a shifter for a guy over on TRS. Went out and started Green and started scraping windows. Managed to get a couple clear in time for freezing rain. So I had to go back and clean them a little a second time. Did all my running around and stuff stopped falling from the sky. Green was nice and warm inside. I even fired up a stoggie. Made it home. The roads were in good shape and I had no trouble at all. Pretty good day over all.
The weather on my couch is really nice. Warm and dry. If only the wife was out of town I could fire up another stoggie. Clint westerns were on earlier.
I have a bunch of western books that arrived today. If it's bad tomorrow I'll just stay inside and read. If it's nice tomorrow I'll stay inside and read and take breaks to go outside and smoke a ceeegar.
Rode the bike today and was hoping for some snow to really test it out. Probably take it again tomorrow since we only had a few flurries here Del.
Jack, we need to go smoke some cigars. (I was bringing some down before I was knocked off-course) The truck goes in Dec 4 and I already have a new grill guard for it.
I smoke Swisher Sweets Outlaws. They are hand rolled in Honduras. Actually I prefer the Double Barrel Rum version. Much higher quallity than the Backwoods in my opinion. Ordered some Marsh Wheelings a few years back. They are the ones Clint had in High Plains Drifter. They are not available locally and I have to order 100 at a time to make them affordable. And I can't store that many at one time so I have to send a lot of time on rotating them in my humidor. Found a Cubano or 12 over the years. About the time folks in my family go on cruises. Man are they smoooooth.
In ohio it is a high of 51 today.. high of 12 for friday with nasty stuff. I think this weekend here is going to be bad... especially since I have no car and have to walk everywhere (if I leave the hotel).I was watching the news and wichita is the hot topic with all the ice and tons of car wrecks... my wife said she had to clear ice from her windows, but drove to Newton late afaternoon, and didn't think it was too bad.
del has offered to let me use his garage. i take the ranger in to a tranny shop (not saying names) here in manhattan to have a free diagnostic ran. when i get home tonight ill know what model tranny i have by some advice given to me in the tranny forum. im living on a non exsistant budget so if i can fix this sucker myself it would be great. im also planning on getting an alldata subscription if i do it myself so i can plan for those pesky check valves.
Man that's too bad. About all I know about auto trannys is how to change fluid and take them out and put them back in. Good luck. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
I'm with jack... I don't do the insides of heads, carbs, or trannys... I know where a tranny is .. but it is in delphos, and I do not know what he might want for it?
